Uzexpocentre has successfully hosted this years’ edition of AgroExpo Uzbekistan/Agrotech Expo 2021 – the leading international exhibition for agricultural machinery, plant production and animal husbandry in Tashkent/Uzbekistan. The event was organized by JSC NEC “Uzexpocentre” and IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH, Germany.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, AgroExpo Uzbekistan/Agrotech Expo confirmed its international character. Among the 100 exhibitors were 60 international companies from Germany, Russia, Netherlands, Turkey, Italy, Estonia, Hungary and 40 Uzbek companies. The participants exhibited on 3.400 SQM the latest innovations and technologies in the area of farm machinery, inputs, greenhouse and horticulture equipment, products and technologies for animal husbandry as well as fruit and vegetable processing equipment. As many as 3.500 visitors mainly from Uzbekistan but also in sizable numbers from neighboring Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan visited the fair despite at short notice introduced regional travel restrictions.
German and Russian companies were organized within their official national pavilions. Some Italian companies used, as in the previous years, a joint pavilion organized by the Italian agricultural machinery association CERMAC. Ukraine was represented by national producer of agricultural equipment Zavod Kozarenka LLC and mineral substrate producer Belagro LLC.
As part of business program a panel discussion hosted by Yuliya Bondarenko DLG Ukraine under the heading “Practical application of innovative technologies of Germany in agriculture of Uzbekistan”, innovative approaches to plant growth monitoring, grain storage, knowledge transfer, exhibitions and low interest finance schemes were discussed by the participants Harald Braungardt (Step Systems), Alisher Hamraev (Budissa Bag), Umid Sayfudinov (Chemonics), Stefan Kresse (IFWexpo) and Bulat Khamidov (COMMIT PP).
The AgroExpo Uzbekistan / Agrotech Expo 2021 exhibition has given a much-needed new impetus for the rapidly developing agro-industrial sector in Uzbekistan. It has over the last couple of years developed into an effective platform for discussing current trends in the agricultural sector and the development of international contacts.
