The Exhibition

EuroTier – the world’s leading trade fair for animal production – is not just an international brand that serves as one of the global platforms in its sector for innovations in the world of animal husbandry. EuroTier caters for practically all species in animal farming along every step of the value chain. In keeping with DLG’s mission to create a global platform that enables the industry to access key regions directly, gain insights into the markets and to make the EuroTier brand truly international, in 2019 EuroTier South America will be launched for the first time in Medianeira, in the federal state of Paraná, in the South of Brazil.

The Market

Brazil has one of the largest economies in the world and the largest on the South American continent. The country is large enough to host a wide range of climate zones and diversified soil structures, favoring its agriculture and animal husbandry industry. Brazil ranks among the global leaders in the sectors of both production and export of poultry, cattle and swine. The country is also a leading producer of fish. The south of the country, where the state of Paraná is located, is a particularly strong center of poultry production and cattle farming. In the context of internationalizing EuroTier, DLG conducted a study of Brazilian poultry and cattle farmers. Both groups confirmed that they were currently experiencing an economic upturn and will in future be investing above all in the areas of breeding, keeping conditions, animal housing equipment and Hygiene.
